Improvement and Opening of Roads

Since 2003, Mano a Mano Bolivia's infrastructure department, with the participation of communities and local municipalities, has helped to connect many villages and remote rural communities, through the improvement and opening of new roads. This department has a team of operators and mechanics, as well as heavy machinery, that make its work extremely effective. We have fixed and/or built 45 new roads, benefiting over 300 communities, thereby providing much needed access to more than 224,000 inhabitants.

A new road can transform an entire community by improving their access to health services, education, communication, trade in local agricultural products, and promoting local development. In the case of medical emergencies, these paths allow ambulances and medical staff to access these communities.
